Hello ,
Im sure this has been asked many times here but I’m looking at purchasing my first Grady 282 Sailfish , there are 2 rear transom models . The older model has a built in rear seat and the newer one has the large fish box with a fold out seat . My questions are , is the newer one apparently 1500 pounds heavier ?, was it to provide better floatation for the newer 4stoke motors ? Do people notice issues with the older models having put new dual 4stokes on it , does the scuppers sit below water line more often now ? . I love the idea of the larger fish box in the rear , but I’ve found a deal on the older style with brand new 4stoke 225 power on it already . Should I hold out and look for the newer model with the fold out seat style and large fish box ? Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks .
