I currently have 2 stainless propellers on my 250 Saltwater Series Yamahas that say 7-M on them. First who makes them? and second is there an Aluminum propeller that matches up with the 7-M Stainless. I run to the 1000 Islands in the summer and there is shoals everywhere and I'm a little nervous about damaging more than just the prop if I hit something. Thanks in advance for the help.

They probably say "17M" on them, and are likely Yamaha SWS series propellors.

As to aluminum, there is no way I would want to be pushing a heavy load like a Marlin with aluminum props. Just too much blade thickness needed to control the flex.

Recommend you learn how to avoid the "skinny water"... :D

If you shear off the skeg on an oyster bar you're going to be replacing lower units and the type of prop isnt going to matter. Do you have a decent chart plotter, I would get a chip for the area and take it slow if you're unfamiliar with the water.
Just remember "when in doubt, plain it out" haha just kidding
