Hello Grady fans,

We are going through the pains of replacing the thru hull fittings on a 255 Sailfish. The 1 1/2" fitting on the starboard side looks to be the biggest challenge so far. Any tips on the replacement would be appreciated. Also, what is the purpose of the center box between the helm seats?

Thanks

I have an '83 and on mine the fitting you speak of is for the fish box (?) drain ( I keep my anchors in it) between the helm seats. I was just looking at it yesterday because I want to change it this winter. Anyway in the storage area behind head compartment I have an access plate on the outboard side and can get to the thru hull from there. I see a couple of possiblities for the fitting under the fish box but I think I'll call Grady to see if they can narrow it down, so I don't have to remove a bunch of pieces through trial and error to get access. Your layout may be different than mine though.
