87 25’ Sailfish ETech repower

Help and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Repowering with Gen 1 250 ETechs.

I have a glassed in transom with bracket.

1) What should my centerlines be when rigging these twins ?

I’ve been reading other posts but haven’t found the answer. Hanging the ETechs this Friday into the weekend!!!
I’ll be starting with 19 pitch thunderbolt props.

The holes on bracket are 28 1/2” centers.

Good luck. Are these new? I have a 95 272 Sailfish and want to add some fresher power at some point. I think the only option is Etec because of the weight of 4 strokes.

I’m going with new to me. 2012 ,250’s with 800 hrs. They should be here Friday ! I’m getting all my ducks in a row. It’s going to be great having adequate power. There’s a set of 200 H.O. and 250’s out there with low hours for good prices. I worked out a package deal for everything don to the props for less than the asking price for just the motors.

Nice! Where did you see the HO's? I would also need controls and rigging.

I’ve seen quite a few sets on EBay lately coming out of Florida, Jersey and Connecticut. I sent the seller a message to make a deal. I’d call around to dealers local to you. Tons of low hour motors coming up on the end of their warranty’s to be had.

Get the Serial Numbers for a warranty check, Evinrude software and look at the data logs on the engines.

Mounting height ??? 1” higher for every 1’ if set back. Anyone have a similar setup? What hole/height are your motors??
