89 overniter fuel tank vent replacement & tank sending u

need to replace the fuel tank vent, as far as the vent its way up in the top of the transom and i cant figure out how its plumbed, it has a ribbed plastic line with a loop and then the ruber vent hose coming from the tank , any thoughts how to replace this with new ??
also which model sending unit for the fuel tank , any replies appreciated !!

I had an 86 and the vent line was nothing more than a piece of fuel hose with a section of spring over the hose where it looped up by the vent.

I used normal fuel hose and reused the spring.
