Looks to be in good shape, probably spent it's life on the trailer and not in the water as no bottom paint. I have a 2007 208 that I will sell at the end of this season, but the price will be a bit more than 10 grand. They are great boats though and I highly recommend them. I follow craigslist just for fun. Used boat prices seem to be pretty high right now.

Here's a 1995 for 19k:

A 1999 for 18.5:

A 2000 for 25k:

And a 2002 for 22k:

Based on those prices, granted in my area and not yours, the price isn't too bad. Out of the ones I've listed, only the last one seems like a good deal and it will probably sell quickly, a 2002 with 4 stroke and a hardtop for 22k. It's interesting to see how close asking prices are despite a 7 year spread and motors ranging from OX to HPDI to 4 stroke.

I'm still in the market. I'm hesitant to pull the trigger since the motor is a little older than I'd like. Another 208 has popped up in my area. It's a 98 with a hardtop and a 150 Yamaha Saltwater Series. It has bottom paint though and I hear bad things about a 150 with a hardtop. I'd love to have a hardtop though. This boat will be used for fishing around Chesapeake Bay and nearby rivers. It'll also be used to cruise around beaches with my family of 4. Price on the 98 is 16500, but believe that he's willing to negotiate. Let me know what y'all think.

Looks like a good deal, that hull is clean and worth every penny. Repower and you are much better off than new
