Good afternoon friends, I recently lost a motor, fried the powerhead. Engines were original 1989 Yamaha 200's . Anyway, I'm in the market to replace both motors with take offs, The question is, what do I measure to see if I need a 25 or a 30 inch shaft, The boat is a 1990 28 Marlin. Some sets are counter rotating, some are not. Any advice on buying take-offs would be much appreciated, pro's and cons of switching from 2 stroke to 4 stroke. Any good marinas in the Annapolis area that specialize in this. I'm in no hurry, I will still fish this year with just the one engine, I don't travel that far, so meandering to get to the channel is just fine with me. Was thinking of going to a pair of 225's or 250's.Thanks again.
