Forum brain trust, how do I remove this access panel:

-behind the electronics box
-2 clips at the top of the panel holding it in place (the location market in red)

It looks like the panel is meant to be slid straight down, but I can’t budge the thing. Can’t get behind to remove clips or bend the clip slightly.

Anyone have the secret sauce for this?

Thx, Up seems tight as a frog’s ass … can’t gain enough purchase to move it down either. Will give it another go tomorrow.

email GW. they'll tell you exactly what's there. i had to remove the cabin side covers on my wipers and they sent this pic of the fasteners. probably same for you. didn't give easily so i had to reconfirm with them that they required some leverage to pop them off. good luck, ron fastener.jpg

Thx, I’ll contact the factory. I don’t think there are clips anywhere but the top. Leverage is a problem, so I might try a suction cup grab bar that I’ve got handy to see if this will help me pull this down and out.

If you don't have what Elyse is showing, can you post a picture of the clips? That would help us. I was envisioning L-shaped brackets, top and bottom, with the upper bracket being deeper to allow the upward movement for removal... and then gravity keeps it in place. However, sometimes things get "heat stuck" over time. But again, a few pictures of the clips will help

other thoughts...

remove the thing below it and reach up to find whats holding it?

Remove (phillips screws?) the dash panel on the helm and look at it from the back?

It rained all day today so my research went on pause. Will report progress tomorrow.

Guys thanks for your help. The picture from ElyseM did the trick. I figured GW must have had those “other” clips on the bottom, which was causing me some trouble. Used a clothing hook to get some leverage and pulled it straight back and off she came.
