I count myself fortunate. I am getting ready to go back to the Keys for a 2 Week adventure next week. I went back and forth on ordering my trailer with one or two spares. I ordered with one then decided to get a second. Called Owens and voila it appeared like magic . Now I have two spares and have 2 complete hub kits too. I don't expect any issues with my rig but you never know . heh . Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Key Largo here we come !

You're proactive that way! Better prepared than not. Saw the coolest thing today at the beach on a new trailer.......The hub and spare were mounted integrated.......slick as can be.

I like the advanced planning. Inexpensive insurance. Don't forget the covers.

I have two on mine also. A couple years ago I got a flat about 3 hours into my trip and didn't want to drive without a spare so wasted about 3 hours trying to find a replacement.

IScreenshot_20210722-215822_Gallery.jpgI mounted one on the frame and one on the upright which I use as sort of a step ladder for getting in and out of the boat when I'm launching.

And don't forget some type of security lugnut or lock. I keep mine locked with a cover over the wheel to hide the lock.
Enjoy your trip. Hopefully you won't need your spares!

Lock(s) on key trailer equipment is spot on. Nothing worse than thinking you are prepared and finding you actually are not. Can't seem to trust anyone these days.

Only one here, but I also don't trailer much.

Unrelated, but I think you need more tubes!

I only have one, but now you guys have got me thinking maybe I need another one.

I did order my mount from Owens, their design is simple and installs easily.

I trailer so much and for long distance sometimes, it just made sense to have two full setups,,,, hub, spindle and spare.
