I'm not in love with the location of the stock tank and I'd like a nice place for folks to store a rod while getting bait. So, I figure I'll add a new tank and convert the old one to a third fish box. The new tank will go mid cockpit, but a little forward of center. I'm thinking I can run a new input hose from the new tank directly to the existing pump. Pull the old hose off at the pump and plug it. Then I'll need a drain. I figure I can T right into the hose for the old bait tank. I popped the 6" cover and that hose is clearly well lower than the cockpit deck so draining the bait tank shouldn't be an issue.

Figure I'll set the new tank in place, trace the outline into the deck, remove the tank. Then bolt 4 pieces of Trex decking to the cockpit deck just inside the bait tank outline. Set the tank back in place and drill 4 ss screws through the exterior of the tank and into the Trex. That should hold her. Them finish off with a nice bead of 4200 around the bottom.

Sound reasonable?
