Advice Needed: Replacing Yamaha Digital speedometer

My 180 Sportsman has a 2004 Yamaha F150 TRC 4 stroke.... and the digital speedometer died. The users manual does not reference a part number for the device. Digging on the internet, I've found: 6Y5-83570-S6-00 as the most likely replacement part. Has anyone done this replacement on their own? Is it difficult?
