Any sailfish owners know if A 5000 Btu air conditioner is sufficient for a 2001 282 sailfish , any help would be appreciated.

I would say so; 5,000 btu window units are normally good for a small, 150 sf bedrooms which are also 10' high, so...

I am also looking to add a Marine A/C with reverse Heat. I scanned the threads for details but came up a bit short.
Finisher, did you actualy install one? If so how did it go. Marin aire ,webasto and Dometic seem to be the top players.
I will be running 110 v shore power and maybe a Honda eu2000. Sounds like 8,000 btu's will cover a 282.
Any input is most welcome.

6K on the Marlin. The SF is a bit smaller. 5K is prob a tad undersized.

I’m going to be installing a new one this spring, it’s going to be 8000btu judging from research I’ve done.

I have a Wabasto 8,000 btu A/C unit ordered. It will draw 54 amps on start up and between 4.5 to 6 amps running.
I am interested in adding a below deck gas generator and was intrested in inpit from the group. I have a 2001 282 sailfish.
Best place to put it and what brand and size?
As always ,thank you in advance.
