Air conditioning for 2001 265 Express

I've seen a couple of posts but no real answers to the question - "where/how/which type of air conditioner would you install on 265 Express". Anyone do this, or if factory installed" can you explain the layout (or better yet, provide pics)? Thanks in advance.

Different boat. Islander 270. Installed Mermaid Marine Air 6,500 BTU Reverse Cycle unit under the galley furniture on the port side. Works great, on shore power or Honda EU2000 powering the boat.

Did same (and it worked out great) on my 268 Islander following Brians pics and advice, thnaks Brian.
May be doing it again on a 2004 282 sailfish.
