Hi All,
I am upgrading my electronics, which includes a new 'ducer install.

I have heard great things about Airmar's b60, tilted element.

Can anybody tell me which angle 1 need? the 12 deg or 20 deg? I believe Gradys in general are 20deg at the transom, but want to confirm.

Thanks!

I would measure the DR where you’re going to mount it.

The hull may have a 20 degree dead rise overall but the angle is not a constant from the keel to the water line. I mounted my unit offset from the keel roughly 12” on a 226 and the dead rise was only 17 degrees which falls under the 14 degree unit. Problem is that I didn’t realize this until after the install.

I called Airmar tech support about the situation and they stated that while not an ideal installation it should work without any noticable problems.
