Have a 2001 yamaha 200 hpdi and have had alarm on starboard engine go off at idle several times i wait about 5 to 15 minutes and engine starts and runs fine until it goes off again, usually only goes off once a day. had mechanic do diagnostic print out not throwing any codes, checked for water in float bowl and had none any suggestions gladly appreciated

What alarm is going off? temp? Does the engine shut down? I had similar issue and ended up completing a full head removal, detail passage cleaning with no problems since. May be a bit of overkill and you might get away with an acid/vinegar flush. When you remove your thermostat(s), how does it look in there?

Need to see a Yamaha certified mechanic.

There are temp alarms, various systemp oil alarms, and that's just about it. Individual sensors can be checked, see service manual.

As far as temp alarms ,if you can hold your hand on the power head where the plugs are (after it is shut off after reaching normal op temp).

I took it to a certified mechanic and he said not showing any alarm codes oil or temp. every thing is in working order. will low voltage send an alarm?

No,
Does that motor have the water in fuel alarm. If so, there have been many false alarms with that system. If not, it;s either temp (which it isn't unless the temp sensor is bad) or an oil alarm and the only audible alarm would be an empty main tank ( under the cowling)
