New 247 Voyager to me and looking at the anchor pulpit, my question is can I run with a Danforth anchor hanging/snugged up against the roller or do I need to hang back in the anchor locker after each use?
Thanks

Hard to say without seeing it. There are different types of rollers - some are meant for storing of the anchor (and for different kinds of anchors) and some are meant only for deployment/retrieval. Give it a shot and try it. If it snugs up tight enough so as not to bang into the hull, you're good to go. I would use a secondary means of attachment, though - as a precaution.

I hook mine up in spring and keep it on the pulpit till i wrap her up for winter. No problems. Keep it latched somehow to prevent accidental deployment while underway.

I have been running a Danforth on Islander 270 with no issues. Just be careful when launching so that the anchor does not catch the front roller that butts up just below your bow eye.
