In their infinite wisdom the “Scientist” at AFI used a carbon steel catch on the spring assembly on the nice stainless steel wiper arms they sell.... so guess what ? I need to replace one or both. Does anyone sell the springs and catch ? Or do we have to buy all new ? The arms are in great shape it would be a shame to replace the whole damn thing
For a 30 Marlin

It looks like it still works. If so, wire brush, tape off and spray or dab on some cold galvanizing paint on the parts. I have not seen specific parts for sale and I suspect that a new replacement arm will probably use the same parts

... yes this one does still work. The other one broke and the spring is gone. Marineco uses same spring with a stainless catch on theirs. Maybe I’ll buy one of theirs and scavenge the parts

You'd think there would be a cad check for materials used in the design process. Prob just need new arms at this point.

Driving out those pins and reinserting them would scare me. I guess I would replace the arm.
Is the end joint squeezed onto the motor shaft with a bolt? It looks like a split collar.
