I'm looking at getting an Raymarine cp 470 chirp unit and was wondering if any on one here haves one. I would like to know how they work? What Transducer to get? And what you thinks of the unit? Any input would be great.
Well I picked it up today and ended up getting an M265LM transducer and the cp 470. I was surprised to see how the transducer in-hull system works. The bottom half of the transducer is a tank that affixes to the inside bottom of the hull and is filled with anti-freeze. I was wondering how inside the boat it was going to not overheat, now I know. I can’t wait to get it in and trying it this season.
