Thanks in advance,

GradyX:

Three choices come to mind:

1. Old Bahama Bay is a full-service, upscale resort and marina on the very tip of west end. You can clear customs and get fuel there.

2. Blua Marlin Cove is about another three mile run from west end on the south side of the island. Very fishing oriented and you must clear customs at west end first.

3. Harbour Hotel is about 1 mile from west end on the north side of the island.

You can get more info here: http://marinas.com/browse/marina/BS/GB/

In addition, the Gulfstream Grady Group, based in Palm Beach and Martin Counties, makes an organized trip for its members every year to that area. This year's trip is June 24 - 28 and we're going to Lucaya, which is near Freeport. Let me know if you want more info on that trip.

It's a little bit further around Freeport than West End but I had a couple of great experiences in the Port Lucaya complex. (portlucaya.com) Great staff, great facilities plenty of restaurants, stuff for the kids etc.

Dont forget Bootle Bay, West End (55mi from PB) if your looking for a relaxed, fishing oriented guy-type trip for the least amount of $$. Not so much the place to take the family unless they love to fish and dive as much as you. It is a reasonable run to the corner for tuna and what I consider some of the best and most productive diving the Abacos has to offer. (Walker's Cay area)

Extremely friendly people and clean accomodations.

BMC is very accomodating for the family and includes nearly everything in their room rates, great pool, bar etc. Chicks love it.

Lucaya is a joke if your looking to "get away and do some fishing/diving" but its a ton of fun if your primary goal is to keep the hyperactive family entertained. Very much caters to the searay crowd. Lots of shops and bars, the natives on the dock selling you about anything you can think of including that fish and conch that you couldnt go out and get that morning due to your casino style hangover. (90mi run from PB)
