Has anyone used E4 polyflake as a fiberglass bottom paint? The manufacturer is local, they do application. Has a 5 year warranty, but they basically claim one time application is all that will be needed.

The product is on all disney cruise ships. A friend with a major marine construction company (builds docks for major boat shows in south florida) just applied this to all of his boats and barges.

I am not familiar with the produce so I took a look at their website. A few things need more info than was on the site.
Nowhere did I see anything about antifouling. Cruise ships are constantly moving and that does help scrub the hull. Maybe that's not an issue but I don't know. The prep work required wet blasting to prep the surface. Although they do mention fiberglass, it isn't clear if that includes gel coated glass. I would not want to have my gel coat blasted off if that is necessary for the 'paint'

So, bottom line: I don't know enough. Let us know what you find out.

The surface needs to be rough so the material can stick.

This photo shows a boat that was in the water for 5 months. Surface was scrubbed with a nylon brush
