April Fools day Flounder fishing!!Chesapeake Bay

Opening day!!Made the desision this morning at 9, to run out and try for sum flounder come h*ll or high water,Stopped at the Hump around 10:00 made a drift and nothing.Decided since it was soooo Calm out there to go for Cape Charles,My radar picked up about 15 boats there
and they were on the fish,strips of meat with a side of minnow provided us with a wonderfull day!!!caught at least 15 and had to throw back them 181/4"'s Ouch!
back at the dock at 5:30......biggest went 24"......

awesome......to hear them being caught at cape charles is a great sign...
Nice size fish...filets should be nice. I figure if weather holds about 3 weeks before they hit the Md/De area....Great opening day on the water for you

Was on Wachapreague on Sunday, then out from Onancock today. ZIP!!

Am going to try Wachapreague again in the morning.

lets hear if for VMRC and the huge size and small amount of fish you can keep. oh well at least last was good!

Nice Catch! Don't feel bad about the short fish. It doesn't matter what they set the size limit at, I always come up a 1/2" short :)
