recently read about armrest refurb, I think onsite. mine are ugly but functional

There are lots of post about 'cleaning ' armrests. Finding replacements can be hard if impossible especially for older years. I have seen simple but fairly ugly fixes like putting socks over the rest. I thing the biggest bang for the buck assuming the fabric is not torn, is painting with a fabric spray paint.
If the issue is mold and not so much yellowing, there are posts about soaking the rest in various solutions. I also remember folks mentioning that removing the rests to soak them can be a tricky job.

Sounds like a pln. Just make sure you clean, degrease, demold first:)

In for updates - my armrests are downright ugly

edit: went ahead & ordered the Taylor spray coating, it will be the 1st of March before I get back to the boat. I’ll give an update after it’s completed

That website makes even Grady White prices look reasonable.
And Taylor is a Grady dealer!

Boy, it sure looks like Taylor took a can of $22 SEM Vinyl Spray Paint/Dye, ripped the label off and stuck their own on there and jacked the price.

EDIT: Massey, not meaning to distract from your project here... I hope it turns out well for you!

That's exactly what they did and marked up the price. I bought it off Amazon SEM M25073 off white and redid the armrests on our previous 305 Express and will say it held up very good. I did also use the vinyl prep they sell.

What year is your Seafarer? I may have a set of armrests in good condition that might meet your needs.

These are from a 2008 Seafarer. They are in excellent condition. Shoot me a PM and we can discuss things.

The waterless white hand cleaner that can be purchased at the auto parts store works amazing. I use GoJO and a white rag and they clean up like new.
Use the GOJO on the seat upolstery as well. A boat detailer gave me the tip years ago.
