Need some help from folks, please. So I ordered a replacement for my scuppers on my 192 tournament. What was on the transom was a rubber ring, then rubber flapper ring, then the hard plastic outer ring. So, the attwood replacement comes in the mail and it is an exact fit. But here is the catch, the directions state that if you mount the scupper to the transom, you MUST purchase another spacer ring that goes directly against the transom, part number 90881a. What the heck? The original scuppers do NOT have this additional plastic spacer ring. All other parts out of the attwood package are identical. Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.
