Check to see if you have power coming to your switch and tilt motor
first then go from there.

I had a problem with the tilt on my port yammie, I took the tilt switch
in the helm control throttle lever apart and noticed that the grease had hardend and
prevented it from making a good connection. For some reason the problem in this switch also effected the switch
on the motor it self for working.

I cleaned the contacts in the switch, apllied some di-electric and put it
back together. Everthing worked perfectly as well as the motor switch.
I suppose the problem could have existed in reverse as well, but i got
lucky finding it in the first place I tried.

Hope this helps.
