Bait Cutting Board

I bought a Magma 21" Bait Cutting board for my 99' GW Voyager 248, but it doesn't fit snug. It wiggles and I'm not comfortable with that amount of play. The cross piece at the bottom of the Rod Holder is 1/4" diameter and the groove on the Level Lock piece is 5/16"? So I returned the Magma, but I can't find the dimensions on other bait cutting tables to know if I'll have the same problem. Anyone else have this problem? Any recommendations?

Sure. There is always play in the rod holder. Get over it and fish. Those bait boards never fit tight. What are you worried about?

As above, my bait cutting table and all my rods wiggle as well, thats just how they are, wider than the stems going in.
Wrap some uv resistant tape around the stem to dampen and limit wiggling if this bothers you too much.
The better looking version would be having machined a new stem slightly less diameter than rodholder.

Rod holder ones never fit perfectly. If you want a solid mounted cutting board then you will have to find a different way to mount it. Magma makes legs and receptacle to mount the boards. This is what I did on my old 265. Now I have a large cutting board mounted on my fish box lid. It is through bolted to the lid. Works well and is removable. However i don’t know if this way would work on your boat.

Anyone have a Burnewiin cutting board?

I have Burnewiin mounts all around including two in the lid of the fishbox for a custom pot table ordered from Johel at ServiXe (great thread on The Hull Truth) sitting on Burnewiin table legs. The 37"x22" table weighs 30lbs so I added a third hinge to the lid. Very stable and holds 30lb shrimp pots.

Well, I showed my wife, who loves it and wants one . . . for serving cheese and snacks! And if I'm going to cut "smelly" herring I need to lay another cutting board on top! So I put my foot down (and said OK).
