I’m surprised that GW don’t offer a bait rigging station as a factory option for the 228 and other models. A Sydney dealership had a very nice one custom made. Genuine GW rod holders, cup holders...

That would buy you the 4 GW rod holders maybe? I don't know why you would want nice heavy duty rod holders there .
I guess that would depend on where you source them. Still say, one could be made for under a grand. And the best part would be it could be modded to your own needs. I think the rigging stations started in Australia and has become popular here in the states with the northwest salmon/steelhead fishermen first on the welded aluminum boats. I find them extremely useful and raised so you are not leaning over all the time is important.
