I’m about to swap on an 05 F250 in place of my 05 F150 on my 05 tournament 205. While I have the motor off, I want to reseal my bang plate. I’m reading lots of threads on 5200 vs 4200 vs lifecalk for this purpose, but still want more feedback. I’m thinking 5200 because like 5200s purpose, I never ever want to do this again. And if I do this again, the whole transom is coming off. Maybe there’s another reason ever to remove it? I just feel like do it once, never touch it again, because I can’t think of a reason I’d ever take this off again. Thoughts?

I replaced my original aluminum bang plate with the newer vinyl one using 5200 as the sealant. I also added a short manual jack plate to get the motor mount off the bang plate. The setup has worked very well.
