I just purchased a 2009 228 and I am trying to determine which battery is battery 1 and which battery is battery 2. The batteries are both located on the port side.

Thanks

There's no way for us to tell you. It would just be a guessing game. Systematically disconnect one battery while putting the battery switch in it's various positions. Or, unscrew the battery switch and look at how the wires are connected on the inside.

Thanks, that's what I thought.

Congrats on the new boat! Your owner's manual will have a diagram. If you don't have one you can download it for free from gradywhite.com after you register your used grady.
