Most of what I have read about batteries in boating and rv magazines and books says to keep them all the same..same type, same size, cranking with cranking, dppe cycle with deep cycle, etc..since they all charge at different rates...I would check with the battery manufacturer if you want to run different batteries at the same time...I have had different batteries on the boat, but never ran them at the same time...it was always 1 or the other...

I just looked into the shorepower charger and it has 3 settings
LEAD ACID BATTERY −
GEL BATTERY −
AGM BATTERY
each one requires a different charge and can be damaged by the wrong charge.

I have an AGM and a normal lead acid on the boat , had them both for over 4 years , no problems . I use the baot all the time , never had to charge either of them , the engine does that when I'm on the water. If I turn the engine off when fishing, I switch over to AGM for my electronics, live well etc.. When ready to start swith to both .
