battery charger location advice...

Any other opinions on installing a charger in the same compartment as the batteries?? It seems like there are mixed opinions on this but I'm not sure where else to locate it on my '94 252 Sailfish. Want to have the power cord flush mounted so I dont have the cord showing nor have to keep the compartment open....

what type of unit are you installing?

There is no problem in mounting a marine charger in the same compartments as the batteries. This probably covers most installations and allows for shorter cables between the charger and the batteries.

Thanks for the replies. I installed it in the battery compartment on the port side under the oil tanks. Seems to fit good and provides for easy cable routing.
