It gave out after 15 years and time to replace. Was thinking of a 20A (10A per bank/2 bank charger) for my stock set up (4 batteries, 2 banks).
Looking at the Promariner and Guest. Any others that folks would recommend?

I have the ProMariner ProSport HD 20 Plus. This is a 3-bank charger (you only need 2) that shifts load according to demand (buy the 3-bank for the extra amperage). Also if you decide to go 3-bank you can. They have fixed problems with melting fuse holders. I have owned several of them and think that they have fixed all the problems and have a great product.

Thanks. I see there is a 2-bank 20A charger offered as well but for $10 more, might as well get the 3-bank.
 
When I replaced my original guest charger on my 330, I spoke with the engineers at Pro mariner. They recommended a four bank charger for two parallel banks with four batteries. One bank for each battery. The new smart chargers can tell the difference between a parallel bank of two batteries and a single battery. I have been running it that way for several years with very good results.
 
Last 2 boats I’ve installed NOCO Genius chargers and have had no problems.

Can you please provide the model number of the Pro Mariner 4 bank that you installed?

Apparently they do not make the same model exactly like mine but it seems when I looked it up the “pro tournament 360 4 bank” is very similar. It seems mine was a 300 4 bank. I have a NOCO three bank on my small boat which charges 2-12V lithium iron phosphate and one 12V lead acid. I believe it is 30A, 10 for each bank.

PronNautic is excellent - one of the best chargers out there without being too expensive.

Best practice is to use a 4-bank charger. Using a 2-bank is "OK", but you'll get better charging and the batteries will last longer when the charger monitors and charges them individually. It's not a "night and day" difference, but there is a difference.

Not quite on subject, but close. We have a 48v golf cart which has a string of 6 8v batteries in series. I bought a Schauer 48v maintainer and wired it up to the cart to maintain while gone for extended periods and to top off if batteries have minor discharge. Came back home after 6 weeks to find one cell of the total 48 cells had gone bad and that battery could only produce 6.1 v. This voltage drop threw off the charging by not allowing the charger to fulfill the algorithm and so kept trying to bring up to float/maintain voltage. Not sure what would have happened if we had been gone longer. Golf cart tech where I got the replacement battery said yea that happens sometimes with maintainers and a big string of batteries and could damage remaining batteries. He suggested to fully charge batteries and disconnect ground and let them be when gone. It does make me think.
 
Went with the 20A 3 bank promariner. This was a spring of replacements - charger, baitwell pump, genny impeller and then the washdown hose popped off (compression fitting, will trim and reattach). Ouch!
 
Anyone have experience with the dual pro real pro 3? Hodges marine has them for $240?
 
Yea... Waiting on the charge for the trim motor replacement. I think I'm about to get the shaft without the lubricant.

I went with the prosport20hd too. does a fine job keeping all of my group 31 (start, house house house, start) batteries happy.

I think they're all good, pick the one that suits your boat best and is on sale lol
