Bilge vent louvres position

Hi all, I just picked up a 1986 Offshore 24 I/O in pretty good condition and I'm restoring parts of it. My question is on the bilge louvres and how they should face, should both port and starboard louvres face to the rear or should they alternate for air flow?

On my 330 they both face aft to keep spray out. One has a bilge blower attached as I'm sure you have one with an I/O. Important to run it 5+ minutes prior to starting. Gas fumes are heavy and very very dangerous! I'd opt to have both facing aft to keep spray out.
