Bimini help

Hi, here's my pride and joy. Question on Bimini. It's a challenge putting it down and getting it folded up in its boot in the bow simply because I have to unhook it from one set and move it to another and it's hard to do, especially for one person. Anyone have any advice? Should I try to get it to stand up in its boot and secure it that way where I can walk under it. I see that a lot, though I think it looks cool pinned down in bow. Or would those slide things work in this case?

Maybe try a rigid strut in the rear instead of a strap. You will need to replace some parts, but at least that way you can stand it up in the back and put the boot over it.
I assume you might be smaller in stature. I'm 6'1" with a good wingspan. For me, I would remove both straps from one side, hold the aft bar on the other side while removing the rear strap, then grab each mid strut with each hand and walk it forward to lay it down. Your experience might be different.

Hi no I am 6'1 as well with good wingspan and I struggle getting it evenly lined up without it flopping over! Lol

I have a 2024 freedom 215 and I have been keeping it up 24/7….while it may lead to more wear and tare on the Bimini, I believe it helps shelter the upholstery.

I would start out by adjusting the straps until the Bimini is level.
Undo the two rear straps, and walk them forward until the frame collapses in the bow. Straighten out the canvas, and then wrap it and the straps around the frame. Prop the whole thing up on a boat hook, or a deck brush, in the middle, and put the boot on, then lay it back down. You might have to hold it on your shoulder to zip the last half of the boot.

My former boat had the rigid poles in the back and was easy to fold back and put the boot cover on. When I wanted to lay it down, it had the quick release pins on the back poles and it would then lay down on the gunnels.
