recently bought a 86 grady white 24 offshore. After being on the water for 7 hours the other day i took notice there was maybe 1/2 gallon in the bilge traced the leak to the stern port thru hull was just dribbling water past the threads occ. I got all new thru hulls cause the boat is almost 30 years old. Today i pulled the stern thru hulls with scruppers and i found the port thru hull had actually broken clean off right at the flange. Cause of the scruppers you would never know it had broken. The drain hose from the deck drain was steele re-enforced fuel fill hose. That is what was keeping it in the transom yet. It wasn't a fresh break either it had been broken for awhile.

Not unusual in an older boat. Replace all those thru hulls and start with the ones below the water line. I found a crack in the nylon thru hull for my fish box drain that is located right at the water line. The glass on the inside of the hull was a little uneven and I feel that over time it stressed the fitting and eventually it cracked. Replace the drain lines and fuel fill lines while you are at it.
