Just figured to update anyone interested. Final trial today...boat is running solid and no alarms. Rebuilt the trailer and the wheels now do not go above 98-ish degrees. I replaced everything on it except the springs and the jack, but a new jack will be here this week.
The alarm was still going off but the water stream was cool. I swapped all three thermal sensors from one engine to the other and noticed one was loose. Engines ran solid today on the lake at all speeds and other than a little smoke at first, no alarms and ran solid.
We were doing about 38mph at about 5500rpm.
So, plan to head back to the coast soon and see how she handles fish blood...or...well, salt water from fish bait
