Boat Transporter

I'm working on moving my 04 Marlin from Washington State to Key Largo, FL at the beginning of November. I would appreciate learning names of good long distance transporters that people have used sucessfully.

Also, opions on shrink wrapping and prep for transport. Last time I shipped the boat the shrink wrap had to be cut off early in the trip and was basically useless. I assumed it was done improperly but I don't know.

Salters. I think they are a sponsor on this site. They are Grady White's transporter. Shrinkwrap for transport is different than shrinkwrap for storage. I had my boat shipped last year and they had to cut off the storage shrink-wrap only to re-wrap it for transport. Much tighter and was taped to the boat all teh way around. I almost didn't do it, but was really glad I did when the boat was hauled through a serious spring storm and was a wreck on the outside but perfect inside.

Try also U-Ship, you get lots of quotes very fast, i used them twice and i was very happy.
