I checked out the price on adding a pulpit to a 22 Seafarer years ago and it was going to be around 2,500 dealer installed. They had to re do the railing, move the bow lifting ring, repositon anchor hatch etc.. I passed on it.
Dealer price for a 208 was about 1500 two years ago but I don't think that included installation. There are generic pulpits but they are also expensive and you still may want to do the rail. An alternative is a bow anchor roller and no pulpit. That is the route a lot of folks are taking these days.
For the money, the anchor roller is the way to go. If you really want to go the pulpit route, either go Grady or get a piece of Teak if you can get the railings.
