Bypass Electric Fuel Priming Pump?

After finally getting through most of my repairs for this year I went to start the motors of 1995 272 Sailfish before attempting to launch her. I noticed the starboard fuel priming pump was loud and did not sound as though it was pressurizing. Mind you it worked fine a month ago. I want to quickly and cheaply get her in the water before I miss too much more fishing. I have a few questions for the group.

1) What is the pump actually called? I cannot seem to find it online. Estimated cost?

2) Can I disconnect this pump and just put a hand bulb in for now? If so, how is this done?

3) Can the pump be rebuilt or serviced in any way?

You need to determine if the pump is bad or if you have an air leak or blockage somewhere. If the pump is bad and is the original, it should be replaced. It doesn't make sense to rebuild a 23 year old pump.
Whether or not you can bypass it depends a lot on your motor model.
