I have a leak on the Port Side and I can't figure out where it is coming from?

It is constantly wet on the Port Side storage area (carpeted part under walk-around).

I don't think it is the window because it seems dry around it. I have tried spraying the hose on it but haven't pinpointed the problem.

I removed the screws that hold up rod-holders (up into walkaround) caulked and replaced and I also removed part of the rub rail and put calk in those screws holes.....but to no avail?

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks, Dennis

Same issue, sorry no solution yet. Pulled the window frame, cleaned and caulked thoroughly. Thought it might be those cabin rod holders but sounds like you've been there. Anchor locker drain is my focus at this time. Lemme know if you find the source.

Did you try tightening the screws on the deck of the walkaround? There are several near the window. I had the same leak, tightened those screws, and now I don't seem to have it any more.

Yes, those were supporting the cabin rod holders. I pulled the screws and re-sealed them....still leaking.

It really seems like the leak is coming in from the area around the rub rail. When the area is wet I can reach my hand up the port side of the cabin and feel moisture, so it seems like it is coming down the upper hull (near the rub rail).

Can't seem to figure it out

Guessing by 'stanchions' you mean for the Hard Top? If so, I have a Canvas Bimini, so that is not it.

Horn is on Starboard side, and Canopy Posts attached through fiberglass in Helm Area. Not much else penetrating on Port Side Cabin, just window and rod holders........unless it is up by my windshield or electronic bases?

Stanchions for bow rail? Does it leak when sitting in the rain, or only under way? Could be spray forced under the rub rail?

How bout your VHF antenna? Is it on the port? Mine was leaking through the little nut that seals the cable. Water ran down the wire and dripped at various locations along the wire.

One other thing to check is the anchor locker drain. Not sure if an 89 is the same as an 86, but if it is... from memory there is a hose from the locker to a small thru-hull on the port side. You can see it from inside the cabin.
