I have a 97 272 Sailfish. That materiel that is stuck to the steps (padding\nonskid) leading down into the cabin is starting to peel up. Its dirty and ugly and I'd like to replace. I don't even know what you call the stuff. Does anyone know if you can purchase replacement "stuff" from Grady? Has anyone else replaced this stuff on the steps and if so with what?

Many Thanks

Any boating store will have nonskid step replacements, I just added them on my boat, cost me $8 for 2 and that was for the pricer more aggressive non skid.

I had the interior cushions and drapes in my Marlin recovered recently in a navy blue. I replaced the non skid on the steps with a similar indoor/outdoor carpet from Home Depot. It's not slippery and it looks great with the interior.

Just another option.

Not sure about the bamboo but I have a friend who's recently restored a BW that put in a teak floor and steps. He got the wood from Home Depot.

The Bamboo will look nice but may be too slippery when wet.
