I have recently purchased a used 2004 Sailfish and the enclosures need some work.

The condition of the canvas is fair. I would say that about 2 snaps per panel needs to be replaced at the window attachment. The fasteners for the roll up straps are somewhat pitted. They have all seemed to have " shrunk" since I removed and tried to put back, and what a fight is is to do that.

The Isenglass on all panels needs to be replaced.

So, my question is:

Simply take panels to local canvas shop and have snaps repaired, and isenglass replaced. I would try to bring the other fastners back to life with different cleaning products.

The front panels do not have the smile face insert panels. Possibly replace Isenglass with the smile panel.

OR

Bite the bullet, and replace the entire panels with new? If this is the case, then I should reach out to a shop that has the patterns, or find local custom shop?

When faced with similar choices, what did you do.

Advice appreciated.

Replaced glass, zippers, added reinforcement with blue fabric and new rivets (whatchamacallits) for 1/4 of the price of new set. It's your call - you know the state they're in!
