Canyon 376 rod storage lock system?

Does anyone have a good solution for locking rods stored in the side storage compartments?

I have a Conyon 306 The rod storage is not very useful especially on salt water.
The door opening is awkward if any use at all.
Rods and salt air are not compatable.
Easy to steal
I put my rods into my car and store in the garage. Wash at home after every use.

I don't lock anything. If they are getting in, they are getting in. Just a matter of how much damage they do. I carry my expensive stuff on/off when I use it. I keep 6-8 rods onboard out of sight (spinners, jigging and trolling) that are not cheap but not expensive either. Life is full of risk I guess.....
