I just noticed on the Grady site that a new Marlin can only be equipped with 350's. I wonder why?

Don't know if this is a design reason or if this is just the engine they should have had on there. I have a Sailfish with 225 2 stroke and they didn't have 4 stroke in 2000. I've seen those 33s powered with 250's which (I think) is underpowered. My guess is it is a performance issue. Much easier to be overpowered then underpowered.

looks like they just modified their website. if you remember, the perf data came up in a popup window, now it's on the model page. guess they have a few bugs. ron

You can never have too much power, but I am sure GW isn't going to dictate that. As the future owner, I am sure you get to choose whatever you would like. BTW my 33 w/ 250's isn't under powered ( and I've heard they aren't even w/225's). I cruise at 30 top out just under 40 and get 1.1 to 1.2 mpg. I am rarely, if ever, passed by a similar class boat. The center consoles w/trips do go flying by me. That's not to say I would mind the new generation 300's.

You can get it with 250, 300 or 350s. Spec one and you can see.
