Any Chesapeake 290 owners out there? I am interested in your feedback on ride, 250 vs 300s and comparisons to the Sailfish. I am getting the itch:)
There doesn't seem to a lot of them out there, at least on the market. Was the first model year 2008 or 2009?.
Thanks

Looks beautiful. I see that there is a 2007 Sailfish on that site also.

I sea trailed the 290 Chesapeake w/ twin F250s and the 300 Marlin w/ twin F300's. My opinion is the Marlin out performed the Chesapeake on all levels. The 290 is a great boat and I think the first model came out in 2008. However, the Marlin is a heavier, beefier boat (33' overall) that can handle anything. In addition, the cabin on the Marlin is amazing. I have slept my family of four on the Marlin for a few weekend trips now and everyone is very comfortable.

My opinion is if you can find a recent model Marlin in great condition, the price comparison is probably very close. Hope this helps and feel free to personal message me if you have any other questions.

I OWN A 2009 CHESAPEAKE, NICE BOAT BUT WOULD DEFINITELY GO WITH 300'S, I FEEL UNDERPOWERED
AT TIMES WITH T250'S, BETTER YET GO WITH THE MARLIN W/ T300'S IF POSSIBLE-GOOD LUCK
