Coaming Pads?

I have combing pads on my Grady White Freedom 285 that run along the aft portion of the boat. In the open cockpit section. On one side, there is a metal bracket that has ended up poking its way through the material. And I guess I would like to see if I could take those off and maybe have both of them repaded and recovered. Does anyone know how to remove those factory installed combing pads on a 2019 Grady White Freedom 285? Thanks

The standard way to attach coaming pads is via bolster clips and screws. You can find the screws in the drain vents/holes in the bottom of the pad.

Take a credit card like piece of heavy plastic, push behind the coaming pad and slide along until you "bump" the securing screws. As Dennis said they are hidden in the material and there will be a slit somewhere. Philips head screw.
