Cockpit Scupper Access

I cut the hole on the deck behind the door. I don’t have a pic but there is one similar above. Tried to center it to look the best it could. I was concerned if I put it on the side panel, I would have a hard time reaching the drain to put upward force to get the stainless piece to screw into the bottom piece. I used a 6” screw in. Didn’t want to use the pop out there since gets a lot of traffic when diving. Hope that helps. Good luck

I just finished up the starboard side cockpit drain hoses on my 330 Express. I cut an 8" hole on the side of the transom well and accessed the hoses from there. I had Aquatraction deck mats installed so I really didn't want to cut through that or peel it up and put a plate under it.
Once I opened up that hole it was fairly easy to remove the old hoses, give the bilge area a good scrub and cleaning and install the new hoses. I picked up a cheap 8 1/4" hole saw on Amazon, taped off where I wanted to cut, making the process easy. My hoses were in really bad shape.

Did you have any problem, reaching the drain fittings themselves on the deck inside the cockpit? It would seem to be a bit of a reach from there, but surely easy access to the through hulls.. Also, where did you purchase The cockpit drains themselves and if you have a part number? Great information! Thanks.

I bought the drain 90* elbow kit from Boat Outfitters.

It worked best for me to have one person push the threaded fitting into the deck drain hole while another person positions and then pushes the hose with the fitting already installed up to the threaded drain. Then start turning it until it gets tight. You can also access them by crawling into the bilge area and reaching over.
