Cockpit Steps for 225

Hi

I need to make access in and out of a 225 easier for my mother. I have looked at a folding step stool, but could really use 2 steps for her.

I was looking at something like Garelick - but how would I attach that through the cockpit bolsters? I also tried to find something that could hang over the gunwale, similar to a removable swimming ladder, but for the inside. Have not been able to locate anything.

Does anyone have a good, safe solution? Or is it pretty straight forward to attach steps like Garelick?

Basically I see she has problems negotiating getting off the dock and into the rear (cockpit) of the 225, and visa versa.
That is a deep step to take for someone challenged. Google "Todd steps" and you will see one and multi step platforms made of polyethylene, they are very stable and create a large square flat surface. Others make them too. Forget boarding ladders meant to get swimmers up out of the water and fold up onto the stern.
If you have a floating dock it's probably ok on that side so land the todd step or two step whatever you need just inside the gunnel. You will have to assist her since no railing. If you have a hardtp perhaps she can get a hand onto a frame member. Leave the step on the dock or take it with you. The height of each step is on the website. A fixed dock is a problem at certain tides, find another place to board her.
There is a device I think called a come along it fits into a rod holder and extends upward and makes a box shape end that one can grab while boarding. I'd say never let her do the move alone.

Make sure the gunnel top is dry, may have to add some friction stick on 3M pads if needbe.

I used to use the beginning of the walkround for my Mom since the hand rail began there and it was one step up - she would hold the rail bent over and put one leg over onto the dock and I'd help with her second leg. Boat was tied hard against the dock for this move.

Thanks for your reply the advice. I had seen other variants of this type of step, but the weight listed was too way heavy for my parents to use easily. However - the Todd specifically call out that they are "lightweight" - but I can't find a specific number. Can you give an estimate as to how heavy these are? This would be an idea solution.

It will be on a lake - so the tide won't be an issues
