I'm a new owner of a 1999 Seafarer 226. The cockpit trim is very faded. I'm assuming it is teak or is it wood laminate? This is the trim on the side storage shelves. Any way to bring it back or advice on where to buy replacement?

I'm curious too. I have the same issue on my 1998 248 Voyager. Has anyone made new ones out of starboard?

I'm going to sand/prime and do a base/clear on all the trim.

If it is teak, hope it has not been varnished. You should not varnish teak as it is too oily to hold varnish long-term. If they’re teak, use some sort of teak cleaner and teak oil to restore it. It will look real nice. If it is varnish teak you need to clean the varnish off and clean it and oil it.

I think Grady referred to that as plasteak. There are past threads about renewing it.
Pretty sure there is not any teak on a Seafarer in 1999.
edit: I stand corrected, it is Duratrim.

I’ve done this method with teak before and it comes out really nice.
