cool 283 release paint job

Would be nice if the GW factory offered a choice of hullside colors. Their look has become very dated and with new boat sales being depressed now would be a good time to make a bold change.

Grady doesn't change their color because it is timeless and classic. Look at all the "colored" boats from even just a few years ago. THEY are the ones that look dated and old, especially if they are not kept in bristol condition. Grady will never be into "trendy." They produce boats that are any color you want, as long as it is off-white Grady White. I personally think that a clean grady is the finest looking factory boat produced...of course I have no bias whatsoever.....!

Paint technology has come a long way to where a boat will still shine like new for a very long time. Check out Viking yachts, they offer colored hullsides and their boats always look gorgeous for years and years.

True...but the paintjob on a Viking may very well cost what an entire boat costs for some of these lesser boat makers....

I have a friend that has a whaler that was blue that faded now it looks realy ugly! and it is 3 years old

I LIKE it, very sharp looking boat. Modern paint holds up better than the older colored gellcoat.

SaWEET! What a sharp looking rig... The year we bought our 225, the CT dealer had a 205 which they had awl-gripped navy. I persoanlly think grady should offer a few color choices. It really shows off the lines of the boat.

I also think a khaki colored canvas option would be a no-brainer.
