I have a 2003 - 265 express and shortly after the purchase I had noticed some gel coat cracks on both sides of the fuel tank access hatch in the floor. Since it was just gel coat i didn't pay attention much to it but then one side started getting worse and then popped, the floor now has about a 3/8" upward displacement crack. I'm not very happy. Wondering if anyone heard of something similar happening. I have contacted Grady and awaiting comment. I have photos 6 months after the warrantee period expired of the gelcoat crack, then the severe crack that happened last year.

What is our locale? Could water have migrated into the fiberglass and now that is is freezing has expanded and popped it open? I saw this happen on the trash can cover on my Islander from the lifting ring. The core was soaked when I opened it up.

I'm having a problem getting the pics on the forum (file too Large)

The boat is in South Florida, so it is not a freezing issue, it popped when I ran over a wave.
